PreservingUS, Inc. partners with Management and Local Volunteer Groups to provide services that benefit the well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of the residents. In the Amarillo, Texas area we have joined forces with the Refugee Services of Texas and the Amarillo Food Bank to create a Community Garden on the grounds. Over 45 residents along with their children have participated in this effort. The residents have decided that they want to have a Harvest Celebration at the end of each season to celebrate their hard work.
PreservingUS worked with local law enforcement on classes like Crime Prevention, Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Neighborhood Awareness giving Astoria Park residents a sense of community and education on being more attentive to suspicious activity.
